Jim received a BS in Mechanical Engineering
from West Virginia Institute of Technology in
1965, and completed graduate engineering
studies at Akron University and graduate
business studies the University of Virginia Darden School of Business Executive Studies program.

For over 25 years he managed a major forest
products production facility with responsibility
for operations as well as biomass procurement.

With his experience in wood product
manufacturing and biomass procurement Jim
provides research and analysis of regional
biomass availability and cost. Additionally Jim is
experienced in boiler technology and power
generation.

His career in the industry has included:

• 12 years of strategic services consulting.
• 25 years as manager of production at a major
pulp and paper facility.
• 3 years as President of a company that
specialized in a proprietary paper recycling
technology.
