and timberland management. He graduated
from the University of Georgia in Athens in
1965 with a BS degree in Forestry. In his career
he managed 200,000 acres of timberland and
was responsible for the procurement of 6.5
million tons/year of biomass.
With his deep knowledge of in the management
and procurement of biomass Earl is responsible
for woody biomass supply chain research and
analysis as well as working with clients on
developing biomass procurement strategies.
His career in the industry has included:
• 4 years of strategic services consulting for
biomass supply focusing on wood availability
and cost studies and wood procurement
structuring.
• 40 years in timber management and
procurement advancing from Area Forester to
Manager of Wood Procurement to Senior VP of
Woodlands for a major wood products
company.
In addition to his employment involvement,
Earl has and continues to serve the forest
industry as:
• Past President of both the Georgia
and Florida Forestry Associations.
• Board member Forest Land Owners
Association.
• Board member Forest Resources Association.
• Board member TimberMart South.
